Soup has been around for forever. But it is the French who made La Soupe popular. Originally sold by street vendors as restoratifs (restoratives), soups were thought to have healing properties. I love soups so much, I celebrate them with an annual Soup Party, where I serve soups from different cultures. Here are a few of my own creations.

Asparagus soup
